Why is the Southern term for purse pocket book when you ladies are lugging libraries around?

^^^ I don't get that unless someone is a student carrying a bookbag.

Up here I change to white bags in summer.

No one wears white clothes here unless they are on a boat or from out of town. I guess they don't make pajama or sweat pants in white. Ha!

Today: Vintage Coach Court Bag in brown.

I only carry a few items, so it is easy to switch out day to day so I don't get bored!

Wow, Kate, I wish I had your energy! I switch out every few weeks.

It's barely 50F here so I'm holding off on the white until next week when it will be in the 70s-80s.

Thanks for the reminder. Guess it's time to put away the black Kate Spade mini-crossover. As I get older, I find it more difficult to find a purse that meets my requirements. Small (I'm 5' tall & can only carry a lightweight bag), long strap for crossover (the strap will slip off my shoulder if I wear it hanging from one side or the other), no black interior (I can't see what's in there). Not too picky. Lol! Any suggestions for summer?

I have one, too, didn't consider it "vintage' but guess it is. Ah, the joys of getting old

Marylee, yes it looks like the bag you posted, I really need to learn how to post photos! LOL it is funny to think that the bags from the 90's and early 00's are vintage in fashion terms.

Perhaps when I use my vintage purses I will refer to them as pocketbooks!

Certainly not anywhere that I know. I think that is ancient history.
