They make you feel heavy. It's not that comfortable really.

I can see why guys feel it is uncomfortable by limited movement...that is due to not wearing it much...especially around the collar with a tie on. If you wear it frequently, you will not feel this way. Also, when a guy wears a suit, he usually feels that it shouldn't be wrinkled and has to be perfect which makes him not want to move so much. He wants to keep a nice look to it all day.

People find suits uncomfortable because the primary function of a suit is to project a respectable and/or professional appearance. Thus, suit designers prioritize appearance over comfort.

Tell me this:
Think of the last day you had off. Maybe you just took it easy and lay on the sofa watching television or reading a book. Maybe you knocked down a few beers with the guys in the garage or on the deck. Maybe you played with the kids or went to a ballgame.

You didn't wear a suit that day, did you?

In fact, you've never worn a suit while just lounging around and recreating, have you?

Exactly!

That's exactly what I meant when I described suits, and neckties in particular. as serving as some kind of "better than you" badge.

Because I hate being choked by a top button/tie combo.

Yes, I can loosen it up but if I wanted to loosen it to the point of extreme comfort it would look horrible.

Suits are uncomfortable because the armholes are too low. Too feel comfortable you have to able to raise your arms without the suit jacket raising as well.

This is reason #1. Reason #2 is you can't throw them in the wash machine. Dry clean only means never cleaned (Rarely actually, like once a year). So you have to be really careful in them, which is annoying.

Sometimes you just gotta say f*** it, loosen your collar... i'm gonna have fun and dance. Don't give a sh** about it being wrinkled , etc.

Suits worn without neckties are perfectly comfortable. The problem is the necktie. I've never gotten used to them since I don't wear one every day to work.

I must say that I don't like to see the suit without necktie become acceptable business constume however. All these guys running around with no neckties look like they should just stop shaving regularly and move to Iran.

I hate wearing suits and ties. I only wear a suit and tie to job interviews and funerals. I'll wear a blazer/sport jacket to a wedding, or other fancy occasion, but no tie.

Between the undershirt, dress shirt, and suit jacket, I just get way too hot, even indoors, and I hate the restriction on movement.
