It's also interesting that the parents believe that Barbie is every girl's beauty ideal. The toy is popular not because girls aspire to be Barbie, but because she's a fashion doll, and comes with a ton of accessories to dress her up with.
Yep. Those boobs would never appear naturally on such a thin body. No way.

Man think it looks deformed. I think it looks nice. But this one is better imo, because it's not quite as thin. It's full and shapely.

But the extent things were taken is extreme. 3 hour workouts, possibly not eating much, her parents going along on dates. So she hasn't had ideal parenting. But long as she's happy, I guess it doesn't matter.
I would shoot myself if I had those hips!

Still, it's a weird life to condemn a kid to. It's interesting that these "live" Barbies come out of Russia. You never see women in Sweden or Denmark trying to contort themselves into a doll image, or porn-star image, or something.

This is very sad. This girl will be severely handicapped in social settings. It's hard to tell from the article if she's aware that these values of beauty at any cost are warped, or not. One gets the feeling she regrets not having been able to be just a regular kid.
I noticed this to be a Russian phenomenon as well.

The reason is likely that there are so many more women than men in Russia, that they feel like they have to go to extremes to attract and keep a man. It becomes their main purpose in life.

I think it has something to do with a certain tendency in society (a segment of society) that has superficial and materialist values. And a mentality left over from Soviet times about competing with the West, especially the US. The mail-order bride phenomenon, when suddenly Russian womanhood entered the Western marriage "market", fueled it all.

Russians don't realize that the reason Russian women suddenly became in demand among men seeking overseas brides was that a) they weren't Asian (a break from the exclusively Asian mail-order bride phenom prior to the Sov bloc crashing), and b) they were known abroad for being traditionally homey, good cooks & homemakers, used to putting their men first, etc. In other words, good servants. The advertising is all about beauty, but in the beginning it was all about a group of poor, needy White women suddenly available for "purchase", and about their perceived willingness to be subservient and provide their men with the same homemaker services the men had grown up accustomed to with their mothers and grandmothers.

I think this girl is very damaged. She's 26 and has not developed the cajones to force herself out into independence, and reading her comment about liking "brutal men" is disturbing. I'm afraid she already severely lacks self-esteem as a person. And I didn't read in the article what her parent's long-term plans are for her.

Funny thing is, I don't even think she's that cute.

She has obviously had work done, including a boob job. She also has hair extensions and/or wigs and tons of makeup on. Makeup and false lashes can do a lot for enlarging the eyes....google makeup for Asian eyes and see what they do to get those doll-like eyes.

The story is fabricated also.... It is hilarious no one has caught on that her multiple unrelated jobs is another Barbie reference, as Barbie comes dresses for many careers. It is just another part of the image she is selling. These people are basically performance artists, and their "backstories" are a part of it.
