Back in thre 60s many of us stopped shaving our legs and pits. It was very liberating and I know some friends who never returned to shaving. But I did after college purely because I knew getting a good job would be impossible with that "hippie" appearance.

I'm wondering how many American women don't shave body hair today? Seems to me shaving ALL parts of the female body is all the rage..guess for male bodies as well.

Being fair with light body hair I never had to shave much. IF I'm going to expose my legs to the world I look down to see what's what and if I don't like what I see I'll shave them..up to the knee. There is nothing up past that I'm exposing. I can go months. As far as pit hair again, there isn't much, but when I see it I shave it. I don't want to be like some guys I've seen with the deodorant/hair tangle combo. Haha.

Never shaved anything else and don't intend to start now.

I used to shave. But currently, I haven't since last year. I trim hair under arms, so it's not wild. But far as shaving anything bald, not gonna happen anytime soon.

My hair is very light, in combo with light skin. So, it's not too visible.

I thought, like, half the women in the world didn't shave.

It's not a new thing. Shave or don't shave, honey. Just don't feel like you need to tell me about it.

Ick...if you're a woman, and have hairy legs and pits...you are the "pits"...sorry...it's too gross. And, yes...I'm a woman!

I always shave my under-arms, and don't understand why others don't. I don't care how clean someone tries to be, bacteria still collects in there and makes it harder to avoid stink.

I do avoid shaving my legs during the winter, though. I wear pants only during that season. If I want to wear a dress or skirt for an occasion then I will either shave or wear black hose.

As for the 'southern regions', I don't want to look like a child.

I don't care what other people do, but for me: everything below the scalp must go.

While I tend to prefer a more natural look as well, I'll also say this - as someone who was 14 years old when his sister was born, and who has a daughter and several nieces, I've changed thousands of little-girl diapers. And an adult woman who shaves looks like an adult woman who shaves, not like a child.
