If you wash them properly and use a fresh wash cloth for each shower/bath they are just fine.
Why would you not wash your face in the shower?
Original poster: We use a wash cloth or a bath scrubby thing that is a sea sponge (I think that is what it is called).
Women especially use cleansers meant specifically for their face based on skin type (oily, dry, sensitive, etc.). Body soap is definitely not the same as a facial cleanser.
Do you use body soap to wash your hair? 'nuff said.
Yes, I use a washcloth, sometimes a body sponge or bath gloves - depends on what I feel like using. But I usually take a bath over showers. When I shower it's usually when I'm a hurry and I don't bother with any cloth then.
Never. My hands wash, the hand held shower rinses "in every nook and cranny". And I never use washcloths on my face either ( I actually don't wash my face in the shower).
Washcloths are among the germiest things, by the way.
Hmm what's wrong with a washcloth? Am I the only CDer who has to remove dead skin? I use a washcloth as often as I can and scrub scrub scrub off dead skin.

I just don't need it...water cleans enough. But then I'm fair and have normal skin not all greasy like say, a man.
Ha ha ha. This seems a bit snide, but you are going to pay the price for not scrubbing your skin and not having "greasy skin." LOL The grease is good as it keeps your skin moist and pliant longer. IMO using a washcloth to scrub increases blood circulation to the skin and stimulates collagen, making sure you have soft, smooth and supple skin longer, all over your body.

I do this too when I'm feeling lazy or the washcloths are in the laundry. But it seems the cloth does a better job of removing dead skin without damaging my normal skin. Sometimes loofah scratches me.
