Am I in the minority when I say I think these are hideously ugly? I remember a time when the ugly patterns I see on those were patterns you might expect your grandmother to like. I remember my Grandma giving me the most garish green paisley skirt that I wouldn't have been caught dead in. I didn't want to hurt her feelings by throwing it away, so I ended up making a big ugly pillow out of it. Now women, and even very young women, are voluntarily wearing these ugly patterns on ugly blousy pants reminiscent of pajamas. That's one trend I will definitely not be going with!
I don't like them either. But as with anything, it's all in how and by whom they're worn.
Done up stylishly on a younger slim woman with the right accessories, they (or pretty much any other trend no matter how ugly) can look great. On your average pudgy soccer mom? Maybe not so much.
The other trend is those really wide legged patterned pants that are also coming back - on most women, especially older or heavier ones, they just look sloppy like they didn't bother changing out of pajamas.
