Yes, there are some who are obviously not extremely pretty, but are given quite an artificial boost by good makeup jobs that specifically highlight features that are otherwise not that noticeable. But most of them are still recognizable...they just look much more plain.
It also seems like the website looked for the least flattering picture of each of the women.
I think the only one who looked... well... border-line homely is Julia Roberts. Not a good bare close-up of Tyra Banks but I think she likely looks better than the photo.
Katy Perry looks very recognizable to me. Hillary Duff, too. I've seen Gaga before with minimal to no makeup, so this one wasn't a surprise (and she isn't particularly pretty, anyway).
HD didn't look bad. She's still cute without make-up. Tyra's pick I am iffy on since it seemed like a bad expression that made it look worse. Like the Mila Kunis pics.
But that's the thing with celeb crushes. It's fantasy. All the guys that scream for Kate Upton would probably think "wth" and not give her a second glance on the street without her make-up and all the extra that goes into that.
Same for women with male celebs. They may not wear as much make-up as women, but who knows how those men really look. Most of my celeb crushes are on the older men. But they may not be that hot irl.
They all still look alright in my opinion.Not bad.Make up does enhance our features but most women still look alright with it.We are just used to seeing them with make-up on ...That's why most look different when we finally see them without make up

Yeah, Julia is definitely overrated - I don't think she is aging well at all.....
