Rain boots are nowhere to be seen in CT. Even the girls who wear them try to downplay them by picking muted patterns or dark colors. In NJ-NY they try to find the brightest colors and wear them with pride. Rain boots (or fishing boots, as I call them) are just so spunky! They can take one back to the carefree days of his/her youth.
People went crazy for a while there with those brown coach bags with the c's all over them. No offense to anyone but I think they're yucky! People are finally strating to get creative with the bags now. The c's are still on them but I've seen more colorful ones now. I don't like c's at all really. Coach has some really great bags without that stuff plastered all over them.
I's just SAYIN'!
Oh, there's so many here! I'm sick of seeing them! Everywhere!
This is America, we're free to make a choice, but I don't feel like I'm missing out by not having one.
Where I live in Northern NJ, this is the official uniform of women ages 12-35. I think they may send you home from the local high school if you where anything else:
Ugg Boots
North Face Jacket worn of skin tight layered t-shirts
Designer Jeans - usually 7's or Lucky Brand
LV or another expensive handbag (not Coach, that's so middle school)- must cost at least $300.
It's ridiculous, all the teenagers look exactly alike. It's even more ridiculous to see a 30 something try to pull off this trend.
I agree with other posts about the logo bag thing. I work at the airport and have noticed the Coach and Louis Vuitton logos do not elevate a look at all.

Just kidding I can't get into the Ugg boots trend...but to my credit people say I look young
I'm seeing a theme with my smilie faces here - I might need to bow out of this conversation so I can maintain a certain level of self respect along with my delusions of grandeur.

Yeah that ugly brown just doesn't do much for an outfit.
Where I live (Prescott, Arizona) there are no fashion trends, really. The people here wear beat-up old shirts, jeans, and nasty looking boots and sneakers. Some don't even look like they took a shower.
But I'm totally different from them and that's why they have been passing rumors/gossip about me and the way I dress (I wear clean clothes, clean jeans, cute blouses, short skirts, high heels, etc.). This town really, really sucks.
Sorry for ya girl! Looks like you're looking to get outta there? Good luck!!!!
