I'm not confident at all with my body. My husband laughs at me quite a bit. I bought a Tankini in the women's section... then went to the little boy's section (not the men's section) for matching shorts. It all matches and fits nicely, I just don't want to show off more skin than necessary.

There ya go!
Mix and match.....whatever works.
You SHOULD be confident with your body....because your husband obviously does approve !
And, just keep in the back of your head, that there are so many others having many and much more "flaws" then you do!

I still wear them, but nowadays I wear the bandeau type bikini tops and the full bottoms (I still look good, but not as skinny as I was when I was 25; I'm up to a size 8-9).
But I do have a fondness for tankinis. I bought 2 already and they look great on me. So, I'm taking them with me on my vacation, coming up next month, along with 2 bikinis also.

I am 19 and I am not a huge fan of my body.
I am VERY curvy (Child-baring hips (I say), smallish waste, and very large chest.
I have strech marks (WOO!) And a big booty.
I ALWAYS wear a bikini, and sometimes I think I look better in a bikini than jeans and tank top.
A few years ago I tried to spice up my bikini look and started tanning before the summer started, so I'd be bronzed and ready for the beach, and I also got my navel pierced to add some flare.
I'm sure you look great. We all think we're not as good looking as we really are.
Lets be honest...Women are beautiful (ALL WOMEN- fat, thin, young, old) and we all deserve to wear a bikini!!

I totally agree with you on this...I've gone to so many beaches and lakes, that there are truly women of all shapes and sizes (from size 0 to size 24) wearing bikinis. They don't care. And who cares who's talking about them, I say.
If you love yourself, Who Cares!! Wear what you are comfortable in and what you like the best.

There ya go!!!
I agree with you 100%, and couldn't have said it better myself.
If someone doesn't like what they see.....there's always the choice to be made to look the other way.
Plain and very simple, and yet effective!

I wear a bikini even though my stomach and hips are a little flabby. Im a size 10 and have a bit of baby tummy. I have a slim fitting tank that I wear sometimes too that tends to make me look a bit slimmer. I found that the tankini's and one pieces cling to every inch of fat and make me look even worse. Plus Im tall, and one pieces just don't work!

Wearing a bikini takes a special kind of confidence that you can only get by doing it many times and practicing. It's like modeling and learning to walk like a fitness model takes a bit of time.
Practice with your best friend, but first read some articles on the internet about how to model in a bikini, there are certain things you can do with your body and certain facial expressions that match it perfectly.
It's kind of like a beauty pageant.

I've been wearing bikinis since I was 14 and still prefer them. I don't like tankinis b/c my tummy doesn't get the chocolate look.
Like every other women in the world I'm not satisfied with my body either. I'm not tall and I weigh about 120 lbs. Last year I got a baby and I'm back to my old weight despite my booties are much smaller than before. Now I can wear even better looking triangle tops and feel more comfortable.
You only need to practice and get used to it.
So go for it...
