Let's see, it is hard to say. I have like 3 types of dark spots:
hormonal masking
acne scars and the like
unknown dark spots
It seems like the acne ones and the like went away fairly quickly: maybe 6-8 weeks. These hormonal ones that I haven't really figured out took much much longer. Sadly it has been almost a year. But those are more strange and related to hormones vs traumas.
I have generally had good success with the brightening products from Boots when I had more acne scars and the like. I use it now to also be preventative!
I am not back to even yet, but getting a lot closer.
