Attending Wedding In Sicily - July 2016 - what to wear? (color, legs)

Does anyone have ideas about what to wear for a wedding at a castle in Sicily?

I'm clueless -

I'm thinking about the weather humidity, etc.

short dress, long .. flowy.. tell me?

Something chiffon, silky, and very light material - not body conforming but loose and maybe even Boho style, and like one poster said, wear a summery hat! Sicily will be very HOT during July. The wedding sounds like a lot of fun, especially in a castle! Enjoy!

if it were me a very springy and loose sundress with a summer straw hat with a long flowing ribbon on the hat and matching a color in the dress , I agree sicily is extremely hot and a mediterian sun will cook you quick . use plenty of sunscreen also .

Anyone know if "fascinator" style hats common at Italian weddings? Or is something more plain expected?

Sicily is a Roman Catholic country isn't it? What is the dress code in a catholic church? The one time I was there I remember having to cover my head and wear a long sleeved blouse and a skirt.
