Was a man with a shaved head ever popular in the past? (looks, full)

It was also popular for millennia in ancient Egypt. The wealthy wore wigs. Members of the priesthood did not.


There are also historic paintings from Asia of a hairstyle where men shaved the first third or so of the front top of their head and then wore their long hair in an elaborate style in back.


And not to forget the first male I ever saw with a shaved head:

I tried shaving mine for a while when it started falling out. Boy what a pain. I really cant imagine how hard it would be in a world without razors. When I was in Africa I saw them using a sugar past to pull out the hair. Didnt seem too fun either.

I agree with what many here have already said.

A guy cutting his hair very-short or shaving his head, when he is nearly bald......is much better than the comb-over.

I'm not balding and cut it all off. As close as trimmers can cut every few days. Use to do it only in the summer but have just gotten use to it.


Reasons?

It just feels cool, airy, and fresh.

Always clean cut look.

The way water feels, and a woman's hands feel.

Low maintenance.

Exotic looking.

Looks good with chiseled facial features.

Just feels right in tropical climates, like being naked a little more.



Are some women turned off by it? Of course. Do I care? Not really.

And still look good doing it or else they're balding and they just want to get it over with and not worry about it anymore. Few if any men ever want to be completely bald even if they're lucky enough to pull off the bald look well like Vin Diesel or Patrick Stewart (Star Trek's Jean Luc Picard). The only people I knew who used to shave their heads were skinheads. But I think it's sexy.
