My coworker is like that. Every time she comes to work she's carrying a different handbag (and our job is not high paying). Now she is trying to pay all of her credit card debt before her wedding next month. I wonder how much of that was handbag purchases. I'm guessing a lot, especially since she already suckered her fiancee into buying her a couple of MK bags
That's terrible when you sacrifice security over material possessions.
BTW, one of my nieces posted picture of a MK "shopping bag" and she got so many likes Of course I had to say something so I said "who cares about the bag…what did you buy?" She then posted two MK purses with MK all over them. I started thinking of Kit and Michael Knight of Knight Rider, lol. Really if I am wearing someone else's name or initials I want to get paid for it, lol. I was not impressed but many of my NY family were.
I hate the logos on handbags. I just don't think brands matter. To me it's about how it looks (meaning how I like the appearance, color, feel, etc. - brand never enters into it) and most important, how well it functions for me. I have always thought the MK bags were among the most unappealing ones, with those huge "MK" metal plaques stuck on them

I'm with you. I buy what I like regardless of name.
It would not be all that high end, but I'd choose something from Fossil. I love their functional bags, which are just stylish enough for me. They are well made with sturdy hardware and functional straps. I like crossbodies, and Fossil makes a good selection of crossbody bags.
I own about five Fossils now. All have withstood wear and tear over a number of years. I am even now deciding which new one I'll get this Fall.

MK bags have really good interior organization features! Particularly the non "collection" ones. I have a couple bags, leather ones. One has a subtle metal Michael Kors lettering, about 1cm high on the front. ANother had a removable MK charm, which got removed fast. Another last is a "Hamilton" which doesn't have a name on it, but a lock with a small MK on it. The last is a tote with really small gold lettering that nearly blends into the bag.
I understand brands want some discernible markings, and I don't mind one small label. I don't like where the name is the pattern. I think a signature pattern can be great though Louis Vuitton and Goyard's signature patterns are played out for me.
I have high-end and low-end in my closet, nothing in between. I carry my Prada Saffiano tote to work mostly. And that's only because I walk to work, it doesn't even go on the subway with me. When I'm on my own time I carry canvas shopping bags and cheap crossbody styles that are around $20. But I ditched the Coach, Kate Spade, etc. awhile ago. My feeling with bags is you either go all the way or stay cheap.
Im not really into purses..I have a few LV and Chanel purses but they were gifts...the most i would personally spend is $300.00 at the most....anything more is a little crazy for me....i would rather spend thousands of dollars on other things to be honest.....

I totally agree! I am so sick of seeing that michael kors logo everywhere..They seriously remind of coach purses...
I currently own several, just curious as to others' opinions. My most expensive is a Chanel 2.55 reissue double-flap. It was an investment. I bought it for $3,300 back in 2012 and it is now worth at least a thousand more than that. Mind you, I don't use it as an everyday bag and rarely carry it as it's too stressful having to worry about damage.
An investment? Are you even serious? Tell me, have you ever tried to SELL one of your bags? Did you EVER make a profit? The worth of your bag isn't what's listed by some dreamer on the internet trying to sell their bag, it's what someone will actually pay for your bag.
