Hi guys. I have a very expensive fully lined pair of INC dress pants that the cleaners ended putting a iron burnt mark on them. They are black. Are they ruined or can this mark come out?? TIA

My guess is that they are ruined. Try brushing them somewhat aggressively where the burn is and see if that helps remove the marks.

I would go to the cleaners before trying anything. In my opinion they owe you a new pair of pants.

If it's just a "shiny" mark...try damping a cloth (none lint!!) with vinegar...and rub it on the pants....I'm assuming they're ruined now, o anything you do won't hurt them further....sometimes vinegar will take the shiny off!!!
If it's truly burned...then there's nothing you can do about it.

I agree with Larksong, go to the cleaners. They should know how to remove it and if they don't then they owe you for a new pair. If you mess with it and do anything then they won't be held liable as they could say that whatever you did is what prevented the burn from coming out.

Don't do anything to the pants yourself before taking them back to the cleaners. Let them look at the damage and try to fix it.

It was done with a pick up and drop off service. She doesn't actually do it-sends it out. I talked to her about it and she denied it of course. It's not shiny-it's there. I don't know how else to explain it. You can actually feel the mark so I'm thinking they are totally done deal
