I bought a pair of dark tinted glasses. I think they were around $160.00.

I bought them strictly for vanity. My eyes are messed up, so I opt to keep them hidden. And it was a step down from surgery. lol

They look better than typical sunglasses I see, and I think they hide my eyes well enough. So, the money was worth it. Now I can stop trying to pull my hair in front of part of my face.

But those are my "On the go" pair. If I am home, they stay in the case in my purse.

Oakleys are made in California. They are fantastic and well worth the money.

All those brand names are controlled by one company. Luxottica.

Luxottica controls RayBan, Oakley, Brooks Brothers, Chanel, Coach, and many more. Eyewear Brands: our glasses | Luxottica

I, personally, pay no more than $10-$20 for sunglasses. I get the UV blocking store brand. I keep one pair in the car for driving and one in the house for my walks.

I'm sure I've never paid more than around $20, except for the pair I have now. They were probably between $30 and $40, just because I saw them in an ad and really liked them.

I just can't get into sunglasses. If I like how they look, that's it. I'm usually buying them off the kiosks down by the restaurants/shops on the water.

I used to know this woman who had a pretty low-paying, I would think, job. She had several pairs of designer sunglasses, that cost several hundred dollars each. I was amazed. She dressed very low-key otherwise. People just have their thing, I guess.

I usually just get something cheap at Walmart for like $10 or $20. Those sunglasses that cost $100 or more better be made out of gold before I fork my money over for it lol

I love my Ray Bans and they are classic and the quality is there. I would splurge on a pair if I really loved them and they were unique but $200. would be my max and only if I was given money as a gift to spend on myself. I just can't justify splurging on glasses.
