I purchased some neat pants at Costco today, and a snuggly top that matches. Order online at Costco a red and black plaid jacket and a burgundy and gray shawl. Ordered three cold-shoulder tops today from Chico's, might get a little wear out of them before the weather cools.

Going to Santa Fe/Albuquerque and will keep a look-out for my native american print shawl.

Love fall!

Since ponchos are back I looked into the back of my closet. Voila! I have a poncho I bought for $35 on the rez in 1995. Hand-made, traditional Navajo design in gray with red, black and gold woven into the pattern. Barney's New York is selling not-wonderful ponchos with fake Indian designs, mass-produced in goodness-knows-where for $700.

Never get rid of your classics.

I haven't gone shopping yet! I do really need some new long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve blouses though, and maybe a comfy sweater or two!

Would this shawl be easy to make ?

The fabric's have improved so much and there's so much more now to choose from.

I don't sew but most fabric stores have a list of seamstress they recommend.

Just an idea perhaps check out fabric online or a store near you and have a shawl made.

Okay, I did it: I bought something fashionable. Brand new, from a store that isn't a thrift store (I'm a bit of a thrift store junkie). I found a cute pair of tan mid-calf riding boots for my daughter, and she looked so friggin adorable that I ended up ordering a pair for myself. They won't be here for a couple of weeks, so now I'm feeling impatient.
