OMG thats funny. Seiriously tho, my Chadwicks catalog has some
high rise jeans that are apparantly comming back in to style. I personally
like midrise and Im 48 and a Mom. High rise is soooo uncomfortable IMO.

Cool. But I draw the line at whale-tails and tramp stamps. Those are just tacky. If someone wants to see my underwear, they've got to ask me first.

That is so funny. I remember that from SNL. I was actually doing some "Fit" Modeling for a women's clothing company recently. It was for jeans and trousers. They would take photos and then ask my opinion of them. There were 2 pairs where I responded, "Mom Jeans." The women busted up laughing! I do not like ultra low rise, I prefer mid-rise. Like RoaminRed, I do not want anyone looking at my undies unless asked!

Too funny! I do actually prefer my jeans at my waist, or just below, just not styled like those. And OMG I would never tuck my shirt into my pants, forget mom jeans, that's more grandma's style. My legs and butt are very slim, but I do have the apple shape, with "love handles" around my middle, so low and midrise jeans are not comfortable to me. My love handles would stick out around a low waistband.

That's called a "muffin-top".

Made me laugh out loud!! Oh please don't let those fit me!!! I'm a mom and a grandmother and I like mid-rise to low-rise just not to low. I wear t-shirts so I just go for the comfort anyhow!!

Interesting thread. My mom still wears her Gloria Vanderbilt "mom" jeans. She prefers the higher rise, BUT wants to find some jeans that are a bit less "mom." The GV's are straight leg, shapeless, yuk, but have some stretch (she likes that).

She wants to find something with some shape to the legs, butt, and hips with a higher waist. We can't find them. With the shape of her butt (flat) and her waist (smaller), the low rise jeans just don't fit well, the waist gapes and is never flattering to the rear end.

Anyone have any ideas? We've been to Nordstrom rack, the Levi store, Ross. There is a brand called "not your daughter's jeans," anyone know how they fit?
