So I was inspired by this other thread, and a conversation with a few colleagues. I had no idea botox was a thing for people under 40. But quite a few of my colleagues do it, so I wanted to take a quick pulse check.
1. Have you had botox?
2. When did you do it for the first time if you did?
3. Why botox? Why did you start when you did?
1. Have you had botox? Yes. I go every 3-4 months.
2. When did you do it for the first time if you did? At 40. 3. Why botox? Why did you start when you did?
I was starting to notice fine lines (11s, crows feet) and I saw an photo of me posted on FB that I didn't particularly care for due to my fine lines. I started researching MDs and Botox and decided to give it a try. I was very happy with the results. Still am.
I also started at 40. I saw the beginnings of fine lines around my eyes and decided this was the time to attack it before it got worse. I go every 6 months.
I got Botox a few times in my late 30s/ for lines on my forehead. Since we bought a house, it hasn't been in the budget, but dh wants me to start again, and now wants Botox for himself as well. Maybe this will be on the agenda for us in 2017.
You can definitely stop getting Botox after you've started, but the lines come back, of course.
I tried Botox last year at 31 on my forehead and upper lip. I liked it but it didnt work well on me.. my eyebrow lifted on one side and I was uneven for months. Like looking surprised but only one side lol. Loved it on my lip as it kept me from constantly rubbing/pressing my lips together as a bad habit. Was tricky drinking from straws for about a week after. I loved having a smooth forehead but my eyebrows were always uneven so I stopped it. I will probably try it again but just around crows feet.
I would recommend anyone who is interested try it out! It's very temporary, like 3 months or so, not a big commitment. If I were rolling in cash I would get Botox injections in my underarms to control sweating.
I was just coming to this forum to ask about it. I am male, and was thinking about botox on my forehead and around my eyes. And maybe injecting juvederm filler in my tear troughs. I am under forty, it isn't bad, I just don't like the lines I see, especially the tear trough. makes me look tired.

but does it stop the wrinkles forming or do you have to continue or whatever.
