I use a loose translucent powder.....I think it's Cover Girl, but not 100% sure...whatever it is, I'd bet they no longer carry it, as whenever I find something I like, they discontinue it!

I've tried everything from drug store brands to department store brands, loose and pressed, and I always end up returning to the same product ... Coty Airspun Translucent Loose Powder. It's cheap and it works really well. The only thing I don't like about it is the heavy perfumey smell (kind of old lady smelling). But other than that, it's a great product!

Lol--I've used Coty Airspun since the 70s, when it was in a cardboard package. It does still have that same "old lady" scent. I'm in my 50s now so does that make it appropriate?

I also like the Dermablend loose setting powder, but the Coty seems just as good and is cheap & readily available.

This was my go-to for years (decades, really), but it's no longer available in stores, here. You can get it online via Amazon and Walmart's website (not the stores), where it is priced 3-4× as much as it was in-store.

I also found out that in the past decade, production (which had been in the U.S. since 1935), was outsourced to China. Packaging (now a smaller pack and plastic, no longer the cardboard hatbox) and formulation changed (a lot, it's no longer nearly as good), and what's sold online now is not the same stuff. A shame, it was the perfect cosmetic. I miss the old stuff.

We still have it at the major drug store chains here (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid) but it's difficult to find because it's the only Coty product they carry. And I don't think I've seen a plastic version. Just the cardboard hatbox (which is a tad annoying because every time I put the top back on, it creates a **poof** of powder. LOL

Where do you live? It's been probably over ten years since I've seen it packaged in cardboard here, and CVS and Walgreens stopped carrying it here probably just about as long ago. We don't have Rite Aid. The last place to carry it was Walmart, and they don't anymore, either.
