Today my 87 year old wife told me while wearing jeans, "I love Montana, a place that all women wear jeans, except in more formal business settings". I looked around and realized outside of a few offices where it was more formal clothing, I had not seen a woman in anything but Jeans in the 10 years we have lived here, except in a nice restaurant where they were dressed up and out on a date with a boyfriend or husband. Very rarely it is a pair of shorts, if it is a girl under 18 or so.

It is also the part of the world, where nearly everybody drives 4X4 4 door pickups, and mid size to largest SUVs. The DMV says there is not even 1 Tesla registered in the state, and the only EV autos are out of state tourists in the summer. In the winter when it is cold, as Electric cars lose about 60% of their range in cold weather, and lose more mileage going up hill in our mountains here, and when they use electricity to run the heaters, electric cars cannot make it between towns here.

If you are over 40, ripped up high priced jeans look hideous. If they aren't ripped no issue with age.

I love Caftans. But for some reason I'll only wear them when traveling out of the country.

My Dad is 91 and still wears jeans.

My husband and I still wear them. Neither of us has any plans to stop wearing jeans

Jeans are considered nerdy and uncool by everyone under 25.

By everyone?!

Then there are a lot of self-loathing nerdy and uncool under 25-year-olds.

I personally go for the uncool look.

Like I told JerZ, I really do like some of the ones I see. Hubby's not a fan. Too bad.

After seeing one stellar example dressed in a mad bomber hat, puffy parka, shorts to his knees, and unlaced combat boots strolling around on a twenty-eight degree morning last winter, yeah, I'll dress uncool too.
