I don't have a go-to outfit. I always just borrow or buy from better second-hand stores. Several friends and I are about the same size, so someone always has something. It's almost like being in college again!
This month I wore a mauve satin gown and a wrap to a party. I have a party this weekend (really, I have 3 on Saturday night alone and 1 on Sunday). It is going to be below 0 F, so I'm going with black slacks and heavy sweaters. Just not worth being miserable, or risking frostbite if I end up stuck in a snow drift, trying to dress up.
Oh yikes! steakhouses are so bad at vegetarian. Maybe they'll have some beans? Roasted potatoes?

I figure I can't complain. They have to deal with not being able to eat anywhere all the time. Lol, the CFO said to me once, "How do you decide where you will go out to eat? There are so many restaurants! How do you choose one?"
DH's work holiday party is tonight. I am not wearing what I had planned to wear (a teal satin, cap-sleeved dress) because the weather is absolutely frigid. Instead, I'm wearing a burgundy velvet, long-sleeved dress.
