Well, if you want to spin it that way, feel free. Perhaps your standards are too high.

I am sure plenty of other designers out there will be more than happy to dress Melania. And if not, she can dress herself. This is a woman with a background in fashion and modeling. She doesn't need that much help.

I don't know if what is available for sale online is very representative. Michael Kors ready to wear is a lot tackier than his collection clothes. But these items if they are are too boho for Melania. She is more of an Armani or maybe Narcisco Rodriguez sort of person.

I agree completely. And no doubt Melania will KNOCK OUR SOCKS OFF at the Inaugural Ball.

I actually think Melania is quite attractive. Just not someone to be held up as an inspiring and ideal First Lady.
Agreed. Like many Manhattan socialites, she dresses to show off how rich she is. It's a bit vulgar, IMO. We definitely won't see her wearing J Crew anytime soon. She's going to be the Marie Antoinette of First Ladies.

Well, there was that white pant suit on election night with the sides slit up to the waist......

And what? Are you really afraid that this person throws that much weight in the world of design and fashion?

Seems very far-fetched, and I still think it is a tempest in a thimble. Better ignored than given more publicity.

I think you misinterpreted my post. I'm certainly not afraid.

No, I like her clothing choices the last couple of years. Very much!

Her other choices are the ones I find tacky.
