I much prefer the "hand" of pique. I think interlock looks particularly bad on men who are a little overweight because it is clingy and accentuates any "man boobs" and beer belly. It actually does the same on women but at least one of those types of bumps is usually is met with approval on women.

Golf-specific polo shirts nowadays are usually synthetic, typically being moisture-wicking polyester with sun protection. IZOD does make a golf-specific polo shirt, which I have one of. Other such brands of golf-specific polo shirts include PGA Tour, Greg Norman, and Callaway, among others.
