Now that it is december, i always seem to have an urge to paint my fingernails. I don't get manicures because I mess them up too fast. I am also not great at painting my own nails but I keep trying.

Right now I've got a nice wine-y color on my hands. And I have a pale gold sparkly polish to use as a neutral and that doesn't look horrible as it wears.

We will see how many days the latest job lasts. I am skeptical because after painting last night I got a huge chip right when I was going to bed so I repainted one.

My fingernails are not painted. My husband wishes I would keep them painted, but he's not willing to do the dishes every night so I can keep my nails nice, so they're not painted.

My toenails are red. It's still sandal weather here.

Black with glitter. I'm fancy.

(I do my own gels, so change them up as I like. They'll last two weeks if I don't change them before then.)

Fingernails are bare.

Toenails are 1/2 burgundy, other half chipped off natural. My (adult) daughter stole my quick dry burgundy, so I have to motivate myself to either steal it back or buy another. Luckily, it's been cool enough recently to wear closed toes and boots.

Too much going on right now to try and keep color on my fingers.

Red toenails did those yesterday. Going to do red fingernails later today. December is usually red some gold or mix of both.

I need to redo mine. I have some older mauve kind of color on my toenails and a creme on my fingernails. I looked at some holiday nails and now I'm catching the spirit. Sadly I am not that talented so I may do red with white stripes, alternate red and green nails, or get some decals.

My toes are glittery red, my fingernails are white with a glitter, snowflake & two rhinestone looking things on the ring nails. The next time I have them done I'm going to do red glitter on them also.

Hedgehog Mom have you tried wearing gloves when you do the dishes? If you don't get them too big they are not uncomfortable. My hands are very dry so I put gloves on even if I'm loading the dishwasher if they are going to be in water. I have hand crème everywhere as I wash my hands a lot.

Rosy pink fingernails....I don't do my toes when it's cold and you can't see them...except for clear polish. My fingernails are ALWAYS some color!

I've found the Barielle top coat REALLY keeps polish from "wearing" off!
