I know, always thought it was weird that they named a men's clothing store after a women's clothing store by adding "for men" to the name.

It really is the end of an era. I remember The Limited, along with Express, being the most coveted fashion when I was in middle and high school. Hanging out at the mall and longing for clothes my parents wouldn't pay for sums up most of my free time as an adolescent.

Notice how most of the posts refer to 'USED TO'???? As more clothing gets made cheapy in other countries these chains LOSE out. I honestly havent bought anythibg at The Limited since the early 90s...bet that is why.

I remember when The Limited started out in Ohio. But then it expanded and it became pricey and too teenagerish. Then, they added Limited II. Ditto about the decline in quality all over, even higher end stuff.

I think a problem with Macy's and Sears closing stores is about staying relevant to the market.
