I've always preferred Express over The Limited and actually surprised they're just now closing stores as I thought they would have went down long time ago.

I think New York & Co will be gone soon. I went to the mall yesterday for acupressure & saw The Limited closed, Aeropostal Closed. I went to NY&C and it looked like it was dying. Their style has been terrible last few years

I haven't heard anything about Aeropostal going out of business. I don't shop there, but they still have stores at the local malls.

Almost all the NY&C stores at the local malls here changed to NY&C Outlet. I can't tell what the difference is, they seem to have more sale banners in their windows, but I don't normally shop their either.

I stopped shopping in the Limited 20 years ago so I wasn't surprised they went out of business.

Fall and Winter 2015 I just started shopping at The Limited. Seemed like a cool store to get work-wear. Just graduated from college (January 2016) so I decided to get some work-wear. Tried other stores for spring and summer but for fall and winter I wanted to try The Limited. I loved that store but did not realize they were closing until I heard a sales girl in the dressing room say to customer (who asked about the sales) that they were closing stores but they didnt tell them which ones were (at the moment of conversation, which was in November). Since I just started going there I obviously would not know what kind of sales they have, but once I saw 80% at all the stores in my area, it was obvious they were closing all stores. Going there was short-lived, but will keep those clothes for as long as I could (even if for 3 or 4 seasons).

I have not seen a Limited store in a very long time, in my area. I thought they were already gone completely.

Plus size is the new normal size. It's actually harder to find sizes smaller than 7 these days.

It's now 2018 & you know they've had a website again, right? JUST strictly online ordering though:

https://www.thelimited.com/

Their prices are cheaper & don't seem as good a quality as before. Their clothes look similar to New York & Co. now. They were definitely BETTER before.

It's too bad. I've gotten many things from The Limited over the years and will miss them.
I love them! I am going to be sad. One of the few places to purchase stylish, petite clothes.
