I've always been inspired by people / places / things that suit my aspirational lifestyle. Even if my aspirations aren't quite the same.

As a kid that meant glamorous people like "ladies who lunch" and 40s movie starlets. I loved fashion magazines and subscriptions to most of them starting at age 11. I looked at the spreads and ads for ideas.

In my late teens that started to include professional women on tv or in real life. Also I was and am pretty preppy, so inspired by those looks too. I also liked Armani and St. John's ads. And Kenneth Cole, DKNY and the J. Crew of old. By my mid to late 20s I added Stacey London (yay pencil skirts) and Charlotte on Sex in the City. And more recently Michelle Obama, Kate Middleton, Katie Holmes are top of mind.

I have an idea in my head about the sorts of outfits I want to put together and how I want to present myself. But it isn't influenced by what people tell me. I was always the type to make a list of specific items I wanted. It might take me years to find the perfect one, but I keep trying. Still on the hunt for a perfect black blazer that is not too stuffy.

Obviously day to day I am influenced by weather.

I am the friend other people ask about what to wear.

Timmy Turner from The Fairly OddParents, although I prefer lighter shades of pink over darker ones.

Either Stevie Nicks or Lita Ford depending on the day , where I am going and how I feel. Since the 70's.
I'm happy that way.

I am influenced by people in most areas of my life, including fashion. If I see someone wearing something that catches my eye, like a sweaterdress or boots, then I will want to get it too. Doesn't matter if it's friends, family, or strangers.

But I'm most influenced by myself. I buy something when I see something that looks good and is on sale at the mall.

Who influences my style decisions? It's more like what influences my style decisions and that would be dictated by my belly fat and how best to hide it. My neighbor just came over with a whole bunch of home made Christmas cookies. Doh! I hate the holidays.

Hipster culture is really influencing my style. Several of my dress elements, most notably the pair of glasses that I sport, come from the influence that hipster culture has on me. I have about 40 more pounds to lose (I've lost nearly 80 so far in 2016), and I want to go "full hipster" once I shed the last of my weight. I will need a completely new wardrobe since nothing really fits me anymore, so I think that this is the perfect time to reinvent myself.

For those familiar with Philadelphia, I'll also be moving to a hipster neighborhood (Northern Liberties, Fishtown, Manayunk, Pennsport, Graduate Hospital, etc) once I receive my BBA in Finance in May 2018 to accompany this change of style.

ranges from Starletts of yore ( Audrey Hepburn) .... to Bohemian Style.
Love Classic Chanel for Office.
then kickback in some sandals , old scuffy shirt and jeans...Comfort is key .

I'm sooo glad I never got into goth or looking like a peacock nested in my head ( purple/blue hair? egads).

Simplicity and functionality seem to be a fashion statement...sometimes having a subtle style is becoming.

If I had to pick someone famous, I'd say Jennifer Aniston's fashion style is pretty much on par with mine.
