Does anyone know of any good women's socks they can recommend?
I'm looking for thin(ish) dress socks that don't have tight bands at the top. I mostly wear them inside Danskos and cowboy boots and don't have a huge need for warmth in AZ.
I got some great ones at Macey's but they wore out quite fast, it might have been because of what they were made of. If I can get down there I'll try to find some more but would love it if I could find some online.
I hate wearing socks, but need something when I'm wearing ankle boots or danskos/sanitas. So I prefer a thin dress sock, and usually have pretty good luck at Target with their in-house brand.
I generally have decent luck with Merona (target house brand) socks. Until I lose one.
I don't wear dress socks often, so I can't speak to the tightness. It may be worthwhile to get the versions for larger calves. I notice that many of the knee high socks, back when I wore them, left a mark. These days I do the low cut, ankle and occasionally crew socks.
This year I picked up some wool blend running socks from target in the athletic wear section. I am loving these! I picked up 6 more pairs after the first batch. They are thin (a bit thicker than trouser socks, but have been working well in my boots), warm but not too warm and awesome for rainy weather! And they have arch support.
I hear these ones are amazing, and I'll probably splurge on a pair soon. https://darntough.com

Wool socks, only ever always. I know, you're gonna say "but they're too warm!".
Nope, I wear them hiking in 90 degree weather and in my cowboy boots year-round. You can get thin ones for warmer weather and thicker ones for cooler weather.
The Darn Tough brand are my favorites, jade408 linked to them above. You can find 'em on amazon and sometimes on zulily at discounted prices.
Thanks for that, I do have smart wool hiking socks which are great but thick, I also have some mid weight wool socks but I don't know the brand, a friend gave them to me but they seem too thick, then I have some short (below ankle) smart wool socks.
I will try some of the brands mentioned and see which are best for me. The big thing is I don't want tight tops that squish my leg.
Thanks again!
