Small, medium, or big boned?

170 to 180lbs of muscle or is that all fat?

Does the guy work with his hands or push papers?

Even with that information we could only guess.

It also matters how wide the band of the ring is (wider bands may need to be slightly bigger) and if he has big knuckles.

Height and weight won't help us give you a clue. My son is 6'3" tall and weights 190. However he has long, skinny fingers and wears a smaller ring than my husband who was 6'1" and 175. Depends on how big the hands are and how thick the fingers are.

None of that would make a difference, anyway. Some of the guys I know with the thickest fingers work desk jobs and the others work with their hands.

Finger size is genetic AKA random. It doesn't correlate to anything.

My grandmother who is one of the most frail people alive has some of the thickest fingers and biggest hands on a human. Meanwhile I deadlift 440 lb. at 177 lb. and wear a size 8.5

Literally there is no way of knowing.

I have heard hand size and another part of the male anatomy are related more closely than height and weight to hand size.

I'm relatively short for an adult male, medium build. I wear a 9.5 on my ring finger. Apparently, I have short and stubby fingers...

You can buy a ring sizer(s) on amazon for very little money. Either "borrow" a ring and measure it or ask him to fit his/her finger. (that's what I did for engagement ring)

https://www.amazon.com/Mandrel-Sizer...ng+sizer&psc=1

Certain materials cannot be resized.... If this is a wedding band or engagement ring, I recommend sticking to materials that can (gold for example) because ring sizes do change with age.
you have sausage fingers usayit...Joe Pesci

Thanks...everybody else acts as if they don't know what im talking about. I want a ring not too tight, but that doesn't fall off my finger.
