I had my ears pierced in the early 70s, but have long since let the holes close. I have a metal allergy and sometimes even gold earrings will have a back that's not pure gold and my skin just can't tolerate it, so I gave up wearing them entirely.
Ever since I was a kid, the idea of it creeped me out, so I never did. I always imagined earrings getting caught on something, or some attacker yanking them out. I admit they look good though.
Anyone else?
Mine were pierced but I stopped wearing earrings and the holes closed up. I have not since re-pierced.
