Now that we have the no-pierced ears issue settled, I am emboldened to press on and see if anyone has totally foregone manicures and pedicures? Not excluding you men, but y'know.....
As usual, I'm the weirdo that has never had either. Just.....doesn't interest me.
Never had one. I have no interest in them. When I was a young college girl, I did paint my fingernails. But I lived in an apartment then and had a very "soft" life.
Now I am a "mature woman", have a house and property to help maintain. The work I do would be hard on the manicure, and I am in a town where looking "pretty" isn't important.
I'd rather save the money, tbh - use it for something more important.
Plenty of manicures. Only 1 pedicure. The latter is harder to do because my feet are ticklish.
But neither interests me. I am just no good at doing my own nails, so I had them professionally. These days I have stopped going, and haven't been in around 5-7 months.
Lots of pedicures. I get manicures as well, but most of the time, I just have them shape the bare natural nails and that's it. My nails grow fast so I never wear tips or fake nails.
I've never done a professional manicure. I'm "natural" for my nails, but mine are strong enough that I can grow them to my own preferred length and can do my own manicure job on them. I'm much more clumsy dealing with my feet.. I can pedicure them, but suck at the nail polish part. I've had a professional pedicure about three times in my forty years of living!

I've had a few, but only because I felt obligated to for one reason or another. (gifts)
But yeah, I'm a weirdo too. You're not alone.
I have zero interest in manicures/pedicures.
Regular pedis when the weather is warm enough that I'll be exposing the piggies. I don't get manis as regularly, but sometimes I'll get a gel mani before a special event or vacation.
