You don't consider a brand that caters specifically to those who enjoy sailing "somewhat unique"?

I also don't think Nautica was ever trying to be "upscale" or exclusive. It's just a brand, like most other brands.

I still don't understand the OPs obsession with IZOD.

Or shirts in general...

Chaps, IZOD are lower end brands.

Because they provide the best balance between quality and price. I refuse to buy most of my clothes from Walmart or Target except for basic stuff like T-shirts, socks, and underwear. At least IZOD is carried by some Macy's locations as well as Macys.com, which is a notch above IZOD's other main retailers (JCPenney and Kohl's) in terms of status, so I would not call IZOD a low-end brand, but mid-range.

Are any clothing brands particularly relevant? I don't care whose name is on the clothes I buy as long as I am getting what I perceive to be a decent value for my money.

I really don't care for Under Armour.

I like Chaps, Ralph Lauren, Polo, Nautica, Izod.

I love my Nautical luggage. Love the yellow strip. Its not from the 90's. I got it 3 years ago. I see it often in Macy, the Nautical brand in men clothing and in home section. I never thought of it as dated

IZOD is obviously my favorite, and I have a few Chaps and Nautica.

Polo Ralph Lauren is usually out of my price range, but occasionally I buy things from their outlets. In addition, their size XXL runs small that I normally have to buy a size 2XB from their Big & Tall collections, which adds to the cost. Strangely Chaps doesn't have that problem even though they are owned by Ralph Lauren.

So you prefer to pay more at Macy's just so you can say you did?
