So it seems that within the last 5 years at least, men having long, thick beards has been the trend. As a single woman, I have wondered more and more lately what has been the catalyst of this trend. I personally don't find it attractive and would not be interested in dating anyone with lots of facial hair. I feel that too much facial hair obscures a man's features. Some women I know personally find it sexy.
Are there other women on here who aren't into this popular bearded look these days?
If a beard is clean and neatly trimmed, it can be very attractive. A long, scraggly beard that looks like half a meal could be hiding inside it is not attractive.
I agree with Hedgehog Mom. If the beard is clean and trimmed, I don't really have a problem. Too many guys use having a beard as an excuse to be lazy and never shave. Those are the beards that I find gross. I hate "neckbeard" the most. The beard doesn't belong on the neck.
No, you are not. I am presently growing one to be a little more "in-character" for a Good Friday play at our church. My dear wife already hates it and lets me know daily. And, I'm not fond of it either, it will be gone Easter afternoon at the latest.

Reason: Spell check
If somebody ( female or male ) doesn't like it...too bad.
During that time period, I worked in various types of employment, from the retail sales field, to selling caskets, to being a probation officer. I also was a volunteer at a seniors home and a trainer for support dogs.
My point`... I did not have any problems being fully employed, and successful.
Mr. CSD has a beard he keeps trimmed close and his is the only beard I pay attention to. What someone else chooses to do is none of my concern since I do not live with or kiss and I am not married to anyone else.

If more people had this attitude about any number of (well, most) things, the world would be a much better place.
