But, it's a guy who's username is "bmwguydc."

I'll go out on a limb and guess that brands are a big source of identity for him.
Yes, but you don't know the origin of my user name, which is an inside joke in my family and not the car, so that would be an incorrect assumption. I highlighted brands in a fashion forum, so that it is clear that there are brands which carry tote bags for men. If I were interested in name dropping, I might look more towards Balenciaga, Prada or Christian Louboutin who have tote bags for men, not Tumi or Ralph Lauren which are mass market brands.

I like when a guy wears a backpack or a messenger bag.

One day I was walking in downtown Asheville. This scruffy looking fellow asked me for some spare change. I told him no. He then looked up at me and said "nice fanny pack". It wasn't meant as a compliment.

In summary for this thread. Everyone will tolerate whatever you want to wear, just like saggin, but don't expect people to accept it. You may hear comments.

You can't force people to like you or your choices. Just because someone doesn't like your fad doesn't make them a bigot anymore than it makes you weird, gay. Just deal with it. Not everyone is the same. I thought the rebel mind did it just for that. That's how it usually is. Earrings, tats. That's why they do it.

I'll wager every guy saggin has heard someone yell, pull up your pants!

BOTH LOL. I live in a military town, in the West. The Glock is more common than the fanny pack, as most carry in a holster, not a fanny pack, but you see both.

Ok, but that shopping bag travels from the store to the car, about 50 ft. Nobody is carrying it around in NYC.
