Umm, no , thank you.
Of course you had to find the picture portraying something so extreme, if we're just talking about a tote bag and nothing more. Your picture shows a guy going through some over the top style while holding his bag. This is what I meant when I say tote bags...

It can be gay or casual or whatever you want to describe it, depending on what you're wearing it with. If you dress like that guy in the photo and carry any tote bag, then sure it will look kind of flamboyant.

The guys who think wearing a tote bag is "gay" must be insecure of themselves, that they have to criticize other men on what's gay just to make themselves feel more like a man. How sad and pathetic is that. It's guys who think like this that makes our society bad. Come out of the woods and open up your minds a bit more. There's more to fashion than just camo hats, cargo pants, and polo shirts. Try something new or out of your comfort zone. That's the sorry thing about American society, is that people are too comfortable and are afraid to try new things when it comes to style and fashion. And they think a guy is gay just because he is well dressed, into fashion, or cares about his appearance. What's wrong with that? It would be nicer if guys actually cared about their appearance more. I'm sure women would appreciate a well dressed guy who keeps up with his appearance.

Why do you keep using the verb "wear?" A tote bag is carried, not worn. Are you more interested in carrying stuff or putting on a show?

Both, of course I'm not going to wear or carry something that looks ugly. Are you another one of those "macho" guy type who think that anything that has to do with fashion or style "gay"?

I personally don't care, but I prefer a backpack if I'm even travelling with so many things. Usually all I need is in my pocket, unless I'm at school, then... backpack.

What are you bringing with you going to the store? I personally don't even understand why women bring purses everywhere. Half the time they don't even need 'em! Its just fashion and guys don't really give a *** about that. I'm gay but, I dress casually. I don't need to carry a bag with me to go to the mall. My phone and wallet are in my pocket and anything I buy is in the shopping bags. Same thing for walking around. Why do you need a massive bag for that? Lol I hate carrying extra stuff. Only reason I'd bring a bag is if I'm doing photography with a camera.

EDIT: Wait, there is a reason women might need a purse. And its got to do with tampons, so I dunno why a man would need one

Things dealing with fashion are not "gay". Its when you say that you want to "wear" it and put on a "show" that makes it seem........you know......George Michal-ish or Liberace-ish. Like the poster said, straight guys dont care about putting on a show with wearing fashion bags. Just what are you carrying around with you that you need a bag? I have only my phone and some cards that I just keep wrapped in a rubber band and stuffed in my back pocket.

No. Not macho. I am a guy who thinks that practicality outweighs all that. I carry a bag when something needs to be carried in it. To do it for drawing attention to one's self is a sign of insecurity. You keep repeating the word "gay" (the quotes are yours) as if that is pertinent here, it's not. Pretentious showmanship is more like it, and it's not pretty.

I carry a tote bag because it is useful for me, not only for style but it also serves a purpose for me, and I don't do it to impress anyone or draw attention to myself. I like to wear one simply because I like to, simple as that. I don't dress to impress anyone but myself, as long as I'm happy. I carry more than just phone, keys, and wallet... stuffing all that stuff inside my pants pockets with it bulging and weighing down my pants is uncomfortable. Put on a show? What show? So its wrong for a guy to be stylish and not women? And when a guy does it, it's considered gay? I've never seen so many close-minded people before.

Not a guy, but in MY purse is the biggest darn GUN! It's too big to comfortably conceal on my body. So I carry a smaller one, but if the Shot Hits The Fan, I will drag out my .45 hand cannon.

So maybe those guys with their "gay" manpurses have a surprise in their bag.

Also fanny packs scream Gun! As do photo safari vests and those "sneaky pete" "tablet holsters" that really hide a gun.
