Because not everyone likes backpacks. Why not recognize that there's more than one option?

There is definitely more than one option, but accept that you're going to be judge based on societal norms.

Norms change. Perhaps some of you have some catching up to do.

And again, I'm a woman.

Sometimes he'll carry a phone charger, protein bar, and an umbrella. Way too much for pockets.
If I carried all that crap I'd end up with health problems.

Heck, I routinely carry more than that with no problems. So do millions of women. I guess you guys are more delicate?

exactly, and this is how I choose to carry my mascara, diary, hat and extra jewelry and if any toughs approach me, I just hold up my fingers and make that box shape so they think I'm setting up my next photo shot and they leave me alone

Cargo pants? Oh, nevermind, you're from Texas. It makes sense now. I also agree that America is so far behind the rest of the world when it comes to fashion. I've worked as a flight attendant and have got to travel and see many places. I see this this as a normal thing, especially all over Asia and Europe. I even see men carry clutches, and I appreciate a man who has a sense of fashion.

i'm not worried about my 'man card' or any other masculinity norms like that. Also, just yesterday, I had two different women approach me and ask me where I got my messenger because they were looking for a gift for their boyfriend and husband respectively.
