So you can't pitch another pair of pants in your bag and switch at the gym? Or a tunic top or a skirt? Come on...
I see a lot of guys in tees and athletic pants and shorts and shoes in the grocery store. Why don't they just bring a suit to change into? I mean, really...
You can still be classy and wear spandex and leggings, it depends on the occasion and where you wear your sports/workout clothes at. Obviously a formal attend or a job interview you will get laughed at but I see no problem just wearing these clothes out around town running errands.
At least the other shoppers have their butt cracks covered.
Can't say I've ever seen a woman's bare buttcrack while out shopping. Unfortunately I can't say the same about men. But then I guess they get a pass because... men?
tights: very thin, one step up from nylons (sometimes textured). Meant to worn under something
Leggings: female attire. Meant to be worn under a tunic or something that covers the butt
Workout leggings: thicker, good ones can be worn with short tops
Yoga pants: fitted workout wear, normally with a wide waist band and not fitted past the knee
Here's another one to add to the terminology: Spandex Compression Pants and Capris. The shiny black ones that smooth everything out like a sausage casing. Last week being worn by one of my new coworkers. No one says anything, we just looked at each other with a furrowed brow kind of expression-->
There are 75% men in the "office". Our dress code includes: dress pants, khakis /chinos and jeans without holes, skirts or dresses to the knee. Very casual, but there is a dress code.
She weighs probably in the neighborhood of 300 lbs -I'm adding this for a reason- and I'm sure she looks better and is more comfortable in spandex compression pants. No I can't see body parts, everything is smoothed over.
I'm willing to just not say anything about it, because IRL I try not to hurt anyone's feelings.
Do you think the office is making an exception for her because she is overweight, and a female?
People seem to have less consideration for correcting clothing choices on thin co-workers: "hey no jeans with a hole in the knee" or "your skirts too short", or if it were a man, someone would probably physically turn him around and out the door, no one wants to work next to the guy with the shiny package all day.
You seem reasonable, even in disagreement. What are your thoughts?
Still not buying into this purported epidemic of exposed butt cracks because women wear fitied opaque pants in public.
