I always hated having so many bands of elastic around my waist, so I was in the habit of wearing panty hose under dresses...and that was it.

One day, I wore a particular dress to work. It was flowy, and came down somewhere between my knees and ankles. A bunch of us were on our break, and I was standing kind of close to a revolving door.

First, a gust of wind blew the front of my dress up over my head. I quickly pushed it down with my hands, and in the process, bent forward a little bit. Then, a couple of guys (strangers) came through the revolving door, which created a bit of a wind gust, which pushed up the back of my dress.

I learned a valuable lesson that day. Wear SOMETHING under a dress you won't be embarrassed for everyone to see. LOL Believe me, everybody saw everything that day. I almost quit my job over it. LOL

I used to say that I'm probably one of the few people under 40 who wears a slip, but alas, I'm not under 40 anymore. I recently bought a couple of full slips online--besides being functional they make me feel like old-school Elizabeth Taylor.

Since a slip can help stream line the curvature or layout of the dress, it behooves a person to consider this under garment. I am a hobby seam stress....and found slips to be the answer instead of additional lining.

and yes hosiery is a option. Never stopped wearing hosiery as its an eye catcher and helps my circulation.

Yep, slips. I have some long, med, and short depending what I wear. It really opens up a larger selection of styles and fabrics. Those skirts you passed on because they were see through are now at your disposal.

huh? Weird question. Slip and tights. A slip that doesn't shine through aka has a sexy shape.

I thought only the super religious like Jeohovas Witnesses and Duggar family type women wore slips. My wife has dresses and skirts that she wears occasionally (usually its leggings) and in 17 years of being together I've never even seen her own a slip. Its always just the dress or skirt with her thong or g-string.

Always thought slips were for grandmas, heavier women, religious women.
