I bought my last pair of shoes last summer, and have yet to wear them. I have a "backlog" of sneakers since I bought so many pairs in different colors and styles, and I have slowed down buying them now until a few pairs wear out.

Years. I have one style from New Balance that I can wear comfortably. I just bought two pair so I'm set for at least a decade. Peripheral Neuropathy limits my choices severely. So does wearing a size 14 shoe, lol.

I buy each pair of shoes only once.

As far as when I buy an additional pair - whenever I need some additional shoes. That can vary from weeks to years. Usually, many of my various shoes decay at about the same time, so one year I may buy four or five pairs of new shoes and the next five years 0. Other times I might need to buy one pair each year for five years and then no need any more for another five.

I really do not give a flip about shoe fashion. I avoid stylish shoes because stylish goes out of style. Something that looks decent and does not tie into a popular style will last until the leather wears out.

However the one exception is I would like a pair of pointy toe shoes for reenactment events, those were stylish and definitely out of style now, but that is the point.

How often do you buy shoes?-shoes.jpg

Maybe once or twice a year. The athletic shoes should be replaced yearly anyway.

Not often enough. I really could be happy with about 6 pairs of shoes. The problem is, with bunions and old age, it is very hard to arrive at the perfect shoe for the perfect occasion. What I do when I need to walk a lot? Bring a few changes of shoes.

Too often. If I pass by something and it looks really nice and if it is on sale I usually buy it. However, I have not bought a paid of shoes for myself this month so fair. Otherwise pair or more a month. I walk a lot and really trash my stuff lol. I got a new pair of Rockport Boots and after only a month wearing like 1/3 of the time in my foot wear rotation the soles are wearing out. Nicer less comfortable shoes get used less often.
