Be very cautious with jjshouse.com. I've started looking for a dress for my daughter's fall wedding. I've read enough bad reviews of this place that I wouldn't consider ordering from them.

I did look at the last dress you posted. I do like it. I think I will look at the site for ideas. I am thinking about having a dress made for me. I'm under 5' tall so fit it usually a bit funky in dresses. It's hard to find very nice petite dresses. I tried a few regular sized dresses on last weekend. The length can be fixed easily. The problem is the zipper is so long that the top of the dress doesn't fit properly, or even close.

I've looked online at the big department stores: Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Bloomingdales, Von Maur, Dillards, Nordstrom, Saks, and others. Some maybe regional stores, but have an online presence. Check out David's Bridals. Even though you're going to be the bride, check out the special occasion dresses.

You might try Lord &Taylor. They have a fair amount of short simple dresses (they call them "Bride Party" -or "Reception" dresses - guessing their anticipated demographic is brides who have a second dress for the reception):

Consider TJMaxx online. You never know what you will find. Prices are great, too. Return to the nearest TJMaxx with no problem. Just remember to also take the cover that the clothing arrived in for easer return.
