I have 2 daughters and I swear I spend all my time buying them what is trendy show wise. I been through them all. Recently it's been converse. IMHO the most uncomfortable show out there, also all their friends were wearing those or Nikes. Now they want Adidas superstars. I swear I was wearing those when I was a teen. Have they made a comeback?

This changes every day based on which new music video, celebrity or friend starts to sport them. As long as there is a huge mark up they are considered cool again. All these brands are cool again. My kid pulled out a basic pair of Red Conserve shoes that were selling for $100 plus tax at this trendy store that sell cheap looking clothes are extremely high prices. My answer ... get a job ! Regardless we were in Colombia last week and I found the same shoes selling for around $6 or $7 USA so the shoes were purchased. I have no issues buying stuff when it is a great deal... but I am not paying more then what something is really worth because the latest whatever their name is has decided to get a big fat cheque to endorse them.

I really like pumas. I, too, find converse quite uncomfortable. But pumas are always very comfortable--I can easily wear them all day.

For something trendy/stylish, I REALLY like the puma eskiva hi-top!

Why would you do this? First, why would you teach your daughters to squander money on casual attire instead of spending money on good quality "dressier" clothing that will last? Second, why would you teach your daughters to squander money on momentary trends and brand names, which seems like the worst combination of waste and shallowness?

I'm not sure how old the girls are or your location, but here Fenty & Fierce Pumas are the most popular with the girls.

I remember when they were made in USA and cost $14 a pair... Now they're made in China. What I didn't know is they're $100! That's highway robbery!

And yes, they're the most uncomfortable shoe ever made. They're too thin, don't have enough support for your feet and you feel every bump, imperfection or speck of dirt on the floor. No thanks.
