What's your take? Do you own any cold shoulder pieces?

I am not really a fan. I don't own any of them. And some just look cheap and sloppy.
It doesn't feel like "me" either.

I might try one on while shopping, since they are literally everywhere this Spring. I'll see how it looks and reach a final verdict then.

I am not crazy for them. I need some spring tops for work and I am afraid this is all I will find - and this look is not office appropriate!

now if you're out in the sun with a cold shoulder top all day long, won't it result in an interesting tan?

I shop at Chico's sister store White House|Black Market, and I agree that whatever this company's design team deems trendy in a particular season, it becomes a mainstay in that season's entire collection.

I do like the cold shoulder tops. It took me a while to get used to them, but the ones I own were purchased at WHBM, and they are not at all trashy. Would I wear an open shoulder top as business attire? No, absolutely not.

I like the look. Just got in a new short sleeved black/white stripe CS dress Friday. Have it on today. Full length maxi with side slit. Very summery and nice with a crisp white jean jacket.

Last night I saw an anchor on our local TV news wearing a black cold shoulder top. I could hardly pay attention to what she was saying because the big, round circles of pink flesh on her shoulders were so visually distracting. It didn't look professional, either.

So, on this coming Thursday night I have my ballroom group dance lesson and practice party; and I plan to wear my form-fitting cold shoulder top with my new nylon/spandex capris that have custom bling (multi-color rhinestones) all up the sides. Putting a silk sash with fringe around the waist.

Sounds appropriate for a dance party. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
