I wear white much more often during summer than winter, and more "bright pastels". Otherwise, I wear pretty much the same colors. I wear a lot of jewel colors ~ fucshias, purples, deep greens, royal blues, and reds.

I probably prefer lighter colors around my face in the summer, but I like lighter colors around my face in general.

This summer it is all about green! I think I am responding to its availability. For some reason I am liking the greens that I am seeing because for several seasons it has been about gray, black, white, denim, khaki. I love the darkened yellow greens. First I bought a mid yellow green sweatshirt. Then I selected green and gray walking shoes for summer. Yesterday I bought a pair of light olive pants. I seem to gravitate toward the greens, and I have never before liked yellow green, darkened or not.

But in general, since I am so pale, lighter colors around my face are best.

For summer, I like blues, greens, aquas, because they look cool. Whether they're "deep" or light, pale colors doesn't matter much, though I think the shades like royal blue and emerald green look cooler, reminiscent of a cool blue lake and forest on a hot day.

It's a matter of personal preference so just go with what you feel most comfortable with.

A lot of my friends like to wear the lighter colors in summer while I prefer to stick with darker colors or jewel tones.

I don't like light/pastel colors and if I wear white I end up with it getting dirty just by walking through the factory, lol.

When I lived in the South I wore lighter fabrics than I do now; it generally doesn't get extremely hot up here for long periods of time.

Note that in winter, I often wear a pink hoodie or pink IZOD fleeces.
