Hello, all, I'd love to know how to choose a suitable nails color in my most important day and I think you may give me some advice. Thank you.
Some tell me not choose the deep colors, is that right?

Suitable? Why care about suitable? Wear whatever color you like. As my niece likes to say ... "You do you."

Personally, I would go for understated. I like to think in terms of looking at the pictures 40 years later. Would I really want to see electric blue or blood red on my fingers? I think I would choose an American Manicure (it's like a French Manicure, but the tips are more natural; not so stark white). If I wanted an actual color, I'd probably go with OPI's Take a Right on Bourbon. It's a soft shimmery platinum sort of shade. Very neutral.

I agree I would go with something like a French (or American) manicure or maybe a pale pink assuming you're wearing a white or off white gown.

Find a trustworthy nail salon and go in for a consult. They can at least tell you what others are doing.

I doubt there is a single one right answer though. I'd say, please yourself. It is your wedding, after all.

Understated is good, yes. Also, OP, have you got a colour theme for the wedding?

I did a French manicure on my hands and something fun on my toes.

I like a French manicure for a wedding. It's subtle and elegant. Since it's neutral, it'll also go with anything you wear on the honeymoon.

(I've never heard of an American manicure, except for on this forum.)

You really can't go wrong with a nice pinkish-nude. It won't take attention from your beautiful face and dress.

I agree--U B U -- just go with what you like or with the color theme of your wedding.

That being said, you can't go wrong with a French manicure--IF you don't want to upstage your wedding ring! I would also suggest checking out Pinterest for ideas.

I never did my nails back in the day, but I when I got married (1986) I got my nails done and opted for a very soft pink. If you want a hint of color I'd go with a the soft pink, nude or peach with a little bit of frost or sparkle.

You can also be bold and go with whatever complements your wedding colors. So...if you went dark (navy, purple, plum) with your color theme think a subtle white or silver with your nails. If you went Seapunk (aqua, blue, coral) I'd go with a "beach" or "shell" color. I once saw a "preppy" student with nails painted stark white and it looked absolutely stunning with what she was wearing (think: yacht club navy & white).

In the end, this is the LEAST of your worries
