Nair works about as well as any of the chemical hair removers. How long it lasts depends on how fast your hair grows. It lasts about as long as shaving, maybe a day or two longer. It doesn't remove hair by the root like waxing or epilating, so the results are not as long-lasting.

I used to shave, and until very recently, had not used Nair.

But now I do, and I like it much much better than shaving. It's a quick process. You put it on, wait 3 minutes, and wipe it off.

I HATE this product!!!!!!! Would avoid using. It is horrible for your skin. Last time I used it I got a huge rash on my skin. Wax or shave and don't soak your skin in harsh chemicals.

I agree - I wouldn't use Nair or any other chemical hair remover.

I use it for facial hair, but I have to leave it on for at least 10 minutes. It does not irritate my skin, but I imagine it might on some people. I do not enjoy the odor, so I would not use it on larger areas.

It works just as well as waxing, as far as not causing stubble.

My mom has always sworn by it...it works well for her. I've tried it, and always end up needing to shave, still. Not too effective on me. I have pretty fine, relatively sparse hair, too; it isn't like it's super coarse or anything. Just doesn't respond well to whatever chemical dissolution Nair is supposed to facilitate.

I think sometimes it is coarse hair for some people like me. If I put it on my thighs or arms, which I do not but I have tried, it will remove it. The hair on my calves is coarse and will not remove it at all. I wish it did because it lasts much longer than shaving.
