That time of year is upon us - swim suit season. And for those woman who participate (i.e. wearing swim suits) what kind do you choose?

1. Bikini?

2. Two piece?

3. One piece?

4. Boy shorts? Skirted or other?

Do you shop for one every year? Or do you have a "Go to style" or brand that works for you?

I don't bother shopping any longer. I am at my right weight but I had a C-section. My abdominal area leaves much to be desired. Nothing that can be changed by working out.

So, I have a "go to" swim suit - The classic retro Esther Williams one piece with the low back and sweet heart neckline.

I buy one every year. This time the cherry print. I have Navy, Black, White and Green. . .

JC Penney. They have great tankinis. I am also slender but have had c-sections, so yeah.

;D

I usually wear an attractive one piece with some tummy control as that is my problem area if I don't live at the gym. However I also have a tankini and occasionally I will wear a two piece down by the pool because I want a little better color. I used to feel a little self conscious until I noticed all the very overweight gals in tiny bikinis including one who is probably 60 and wears the tiniest bikini I ever saw and she has got what looks like a barrel around her midsection. I thought if they can do it so can I!

Yes, for modest ladies who don't want their a$$ out for all the world to see.

Agreed. That looks matronly to me. To each her own, though. I have two swimsuits that look quite similar. They are strapless shirred one pieces, one in black and one in blue, and the blue one also has a little side ruffle. They both have skinny straps I can attach, but they don't really do much but cut into my neck. They look quite similar to this:

Having a look around I could probably wear anything that tickles my fancy but I usually try for something that's as figure enhancing as possible and what that it for me at this time in my life is a tankini top and a short skirt.

I buy a new one every year. I wear a 20, so I usually get a swimdress but the past year or so I've bought a two-piece, which is a brief under a strapless smocked tunic.

Whichever one that suits you personally. Age shouldn't have anything to do with anything.
