One of my favorite summer dresses was a maxi linen shift (I think is what you'd call it) by Two Star Dog. I got it in a thrift store in Sedona for $14 (they are VERY expensive but whoever priced it had no idea). I wore it out last summer after about 5 years. The color was perfect for me too. I loved it so much I'd buy another for full price.

We have a warm climate around here and always look for natural fabrics. Cotton, linen, silk, etc., are much more comfortable than anything synthetic. Also loose clothing is a lot cooler than tight clothing. If you're out in the sun, lighter colors are cooler than darker ones.

I live in Texas and rely on sundresses just about every day. My go-to's are LL Bean, Loft, Talbot's, and Lands End. They have wonderful wash-and-go styles and Lands End in particular has great fit and flare styles.

I found some cute dresses at Ross. Lightweight rayon, tie dyed and embroidered. But that might not be your taste.

Any ideas? I tend to be curvy but have gotten a little larger around the middle since menopause and am a 14 or L/XL now

I like clear spring-like colors and want something flattering (prefer lowish v neck, or cross over at bust as I have a short neck). I don't mind spending a bit for a good quality dress.

Any ideas?

P.S. I wear a lot of Chalet crinkle cotton pants and tops/tunics but their dresses aren't right for me somehow.
Torrid casual clothes are very young, but Many of their dresses are timeless. They also have many with a wrap bustline.

I find great summer dresses at Target every year. Usually the Merona section is the best bet.

I don't know why I forgot to mention Sahalie Women's Casual Dresses for Every Occasion | Sahalie I have their "Bella Coola" dress in 3 different colors!

There's also Coldwater Creek Plus Size Dresses for Women | Coldwater Creek I have bought from them in the past, but they have few completely natural fiber clothes. They have nice dresses for "fancy" and for the office.
