Today's popular fad for young women is gym shorts and an XL t-shirt. Also in style are baggy overalls and your mom's cut off jean shorts. Who in the right mind would think this is proper attire for anything but pajamas? I'm not "objectifying women", I'm stating that this style is absolutely terrible! It's pure laziness. Men now easily outdress women at least on campuses. Thoughts?

I doubt, anyone cares what you think is appropriate when it comes to fashion trends, OP.

What's wrong with it? They look cute and comfortable. They're college kids going to classes all day, who cares what they wear or if they look fashionable. That should be the last thing on their minds.
Shucks, if I still had my 20 year old legs I'd wear that outfit in public too.

I don't wear it, but I don't care if others choose to.

Just because you think it's terrible doesn't mean it's gonna stop others from wearing it.

I personally am no one to harp on what other people wear.

But an attractive girl can wear just about anything and still look good. Applies to the three in the photo above, esp the one on the far right.

It looks a little sloppy to me. It's fine for lounging around the house though. It's still better than what I see at the store a lot. I'll see women wearing PJ's and house slippers out shopping for groceries. LOL...
