I live at the beach. I probably see more younger wearing that, than just normal bikini bottoms. To me, they look good on women who have a small butt because I think it makes them look more full and curvy. On women with already large butts (like mine) you end up looking ridiculous imo and you end up looking wider in the back.
Several years back in swim class there was a girl, about 9 years old or so, who always came wearing bikinis. One of her bikinis was a thong bikini with an attached miniskirt, which would always flutter up and show her butt every time she dived.
As most other students, even the girls, were dressed much more conservatively, I wonder how such a young girl could come in only her underwear and not feel self-conscious.
All I can think of is I'd be trying to pull them out of my crack the entire day at the beach. It would be like choosing to spend the day with something in your eye.
I live in South Florida and every female between 8 and 80 does NOT wears those bottoms including me.
I don't know what beaches you are going to but yes, they do.
