I've always wanted to try keratin treatment on my hair but am just looking for opinions or your thoughts on these treatments. I have really thick curly/wavy frizzy hair that is waist length. It is a pain to straighten and blow dry so I barely do anything with it. I use nice shampoos and products but the frizz won't go away which is why I'm interested in getting this done. I know the difference between each treatment by the way.
Before I do anything I will obviously speak to a professional before I get anything done

I did one of those things; not sure what it was exactly. It was not good. Stank to high heaven and made it hard to breathe during the, like, 4 hour process. Then for months afterward my hair was totally limp and awful looking. I actually couldn't wait for the curl to come back. The only benefit was that it took a less time to blow dry.
Instead of a chemical process, I recommend trying some new gel products for hair straightening and getting a good Olivia Garden round brush in a fairly large size. Then make sure you blow it out in sections, with the grain of the hair.
However, waist length is just too long. That can't possibly look good. Shorten that by half and you'll be able to do a lot more with it.
You can also try a Diva cut - learn to style it curly so that it's not frizzy. Possibly you would benefit from a really good hairstylist that knows curly hair. Regular hairstylists really don't do curly hair well.
